Dear All,
Myself and another volunteer in the community – Trish Ribchester, have been involved in the Bury Older People’s Network group BOPN, which meets once a month. The purpose of this group is to aim to create better outcomes for our older members of the population of the six townships of Bury –
- Ensuring that older people have a voice, and that voice is heard.
- Helping to enable people to have a life that is enjoyable.
- Helping to enable people (older adults) to live well.
- Enabling people to do rather than be done to!
Please see the attached flyer advertising an event organised by BOPN and which invites over 50’s to find out things they are entitled to and to have a say in things that matter to them, whether that is about transport, GP access or activity groups, your voice matters.
The event will take place on Wednesday 7th June 10:00am – 3:00pm at The Elizabethan Suite, Bury.
